Upgrading from the Classic version of Ovatu to Ovatu Next

What is Ovatu Next?

OvatuNext is a completely FRESH version of Ovatu. It is Ovatu re-imagined and rewritten from the ground up.

OvatuNext has all the same features you know and love—just better, faster, more intuitive and more beautiful!

It consists of:

  • The Web Version - which contains all settings and features.
  • The Mobile App Version - available for iOS, Android and Mac.

Both are designed for easy day-to-day use. However, the Web Version has more set-up customisation settings.

What will change for me?

You will notice some more significant changes, which you need to be aware of, as well as other improvements that should be smooth and intuitive.

The most important changes are:

  1. Everyone will login to the Ovatu Next apps by entering your book.app domain and their employee email address. There will no longer be a ‘Location/Admin’ login.
  2. Each employee will have a ‘role’, with the employee who is the account owner being given the ‘Owner’ role. Roles will be set up as part of the wizard and control the permissions for each employee.
  3. Once you move over to OvatuNext, you will no longer be able to use your Classic Ovatu apps.

What improvements will I see?

You will see some awesome improvements all throughout the platform! Some standouts are:

  1. Appointment flow - creating and moving appointments is smooth and intuitive
  2. Roster - editing your roster is easier and more visual
  3. Customer search & filtering - dynamic search and powerful filtration
  4. Marketing campaigns - improved campaign designer and functions
  5. Gift cards - a beautiful way to gift and print
  6. User switching - fast, simple account and user switching

How do I move my classic account over to OvatuNext?

When you’re ready to upgrade to OvatuNext, please:

  1. Prepare your existing account by ensuring that every employee has a unique email address.
  2. If you are an account owner (you use a location login) and also a bookable employee, please ensure that your employee profile has the same email address as the one saved in the web app on the Account > Settings page.
  3. Click on Upgrade to Ovatu Next now in the green bar at the top of your Web App. The system will walk you through the upgrade process, and copy all your data and settings to the Next system for you.
  4. Please remember once you move to OvatuNext, you will no longer be able to use your classic Ovatu Apps. Please download OvatuNext from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
