Square integration

Ovatu integrates with your Square account to allow you to:

1. Take payments online
2. Take payments in-store via the Square Terminal (mobile & web app compatible)
3. Take payments in-store via the Square Card Reader (mobile only)

Connecting your Square account

To connect your Square account, please click:

• Account
• Integrations
• then the Square integration

Click Connect, then follow the prompts to log into your Square account.

Online Payments

Square will now be ready for online payments, but you do need to enable online payments in your account if you haven't yet done so.

In the Settings tab, you can customise your Square online payment settings inlcuding:

• Enabling Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay
• Removing any stored cards, and
• Disabling online payments

Pairing your Square Terminal

The Square Terminal is compatible with in-store payments via the Ovatu Web App and the Ovatu Mobile Apps.

To connect your Square Terminal, click:

• Devices
• Pair Terminal

• Enter a name for the Terminal then click Generate Code

Then, log in to your Square Terminal:

1. Choose Sign in with a device code
2. Enter the generated code and Sign In

Click Done in the Ovatu web app

Your Square Terminal will now be listed in the Devices tab.

Now you'll see additional options in the Settings tab to customise tips and receipts.

Multiple Terminals can be connected. When adding a payment to a sale via the Web App, you will now see your Square Terminals listed as payment options.

This will also appear as an option via the Mobile App (see below).

Pairing your Square Card Reader

Your Square Card Reader needs to be paired to the individual mobile device on which it is being used.

To do this please:

• Install and log into your Square App on the required mobile device
• Follow Square's Instructions to pair your reader

When adding a payment to a sale, you will see an option to pay with Square and a second option to pay with Square Terminal if both are connected.
