Enabling online payments
You can take payments and deposits online by connecting a PayPal, Stripe or Square account to Ovatu. They can be connected on the Account > Integrations page.
Once this is done, you can enable online payments by clicking:
- Mini-site, then
- Payments
Enable the toggle, then customise your settings.
All options you select will be displayed to the customer. For example, if you choose a 10% deposit and enable 'Pay in Full' and 'Pay Later', your customers will see all 3 options.
Deposits can also be customised per service, which overrides the default settings: Creating a service.
Please note: While Ovatu does allow for card capture, this is only available with a connected Stripe or Square account, and only when an appointment is created online with no deposit being paid.
Please note: Neither Apple Pay or Google Pay support card capture, so it's best to not enable those in the Square integration in Ovatu, or your Stripe account, when card capture is enabled.
Please note: That in some regions, 3D Secure (bank verification that requires confirmation with a code) may prevent a payment from being taken from a captured card.
