How do I add a Custom Field to Sales?

To add a Custom Field to Sales, choose Manage > Custom Fields


Custom Fields for Sales can be created in the Sale section:


Click +Add Custom Field to add a new Custom Field 


Complete the following fields:


FieldDescription
NameEnter the label for the Custom Field
CodeEnter an internal code, which will appear in two places: - on a CSV file when this data is exported - in an email template Please enter a code with no spaces and one which is unique amongst the Custom Fields in your accounts
Model TypeThis is the object that the Custom Field relates to.  It will be pre-selected to Sale, but can be changed
Data TypeSelect the data type for the field from the following options:
- Text
- Long Text
- Multiple
- Yes/No
- Number
- Date
HistorySelect this checkbox to record all changed made to the value entered in this Field
Customer VisibleSelect this checkbox for this Field to be visible to the Customer Not applicable to all Model Types
Customer EditableSelect this checkbox for this Field to be editable by the Customer Not applicable to all Model Types
Default ValueEnter a value that you would like this Field to be pre-filled with Or leave this section blank
ValuesIf you have selected 'Multiple' in the Data Type, enter the value selections here Please enter the values in a list, one underneath the other


Click Save


The Custom Field will appear when editing the details of a Sale [see How do I edit the details of a Sale?]

To add a Custom Field to Sales, tap Manage, then tap Custom Fields


Tap Edit 

In the SALE FIELDS section, then tap + Add Custom Field


Complete the following fields:

FieldDescription
NameEnter the label for the Custom Field
CodeEnter an internal code, which will appear in two places: 
- on a CSV file when this data is exported 
- in an email template 
Please enter a code with no spaces and one which is unique amongst the Custom Fields in your accounts
Default  Enter a value that you would like this Field to be pre-filled with or leave this section blank
History Select this checkbox to record all changed made to the value entered in this Field
Visible Select this checkbox for this Field to be visible to the Customer (Not applicable to all Model Types)
Editable Select this checkbox for this Field to be editable by the Customer (Not applicable to all Model Types)
Model TypeThis is the object that the Custom Field relates to.

Data TypeSelect the data type for the field from the following options:
- Text
- Long Text
- Multiple
- Yes/No
- Number
- Date
ValuesIf you have selected 'Multiple' in the Data Type, enter the value selections in the Values Field.  These values need to be entered in a list, one beneath the other

Tap Save


The Custom Field will appear within a Sale:

To add a Custom Field to Sales, tap Manage, then tap Custom Fields


Tap on the green + icon and complete the New Custom Field box:

Object TypeSelect an Object Type from the Object Type drop-down list. The Object Type is the object that the Custom Field relates to. It will be pre-selected as Customer, but to change, select Sale from the list of options
Data TypeSelect the data type for the field from the following options: 
- Text 
- Long Text 
- Yes/No 
- Multiple Values
- Number 
- Date
HistorySlide the enable button to the right to record all changes made to the value entered in this Field
Customer VisibleSelect this checkbox for this Field to be visible to the Customer (Not applicable to all Model Types)
Customer EditableSelect this checkbox for this Field to be editable by the Customer (Not applicable to all Model Types)
HistorySelect this checkbox to record all changed made to the value entered in this Field
Default Enter a value that you would like this Field to be pre-filled with or leave this section blank
Multi ValuesIf you have selected 'Multiple' in the Data Type, enter the value selections in the Values Field.  These values need to be entered in a list, one beneath the other. Example: Beginner Intermediate Advanced

Tap SAVE


The Custom Field will appear within a Sale:
