Employee & user logins

Employees and Users added to your Ovatu account are able to log in via the Ovatu Web or Mobile apps, using:

  • Your Ovatu business domain
  • Their email address

New employees are sent a welcome email, prompting them to create a password.

For security reasons, never allow multiple employees to share one login.

MANAGING LOGINS

To manage employee & user logins, click:

  • Account
  • Users & Roles

On this screen, you can:

1. Reset the employee or user's password (Select Send Email to email them their new login details)

2. Enable/change/remove their PIN - the PIN is used for additional account security, by unlocking a locked screen

  • When the PIN is enabled, the PIN button is green
  • The PIN must be unique and only contain numbers. Ovatu suggests using a 4 digit PIN

3. Change their email

4. Change their rolea role governs what type of access the user has

SWITCHING USERS & LOCKING THE SCREEN

The Ovatu Web and Mobile Apps can be logged into by multiple users simultaneously.

To switch users or lock the screen click on the employee name in the bottom left corner:

  • Lock account - this will lock the screen, which can be unlocked again using the PIN (the PIN option will only appear if the PIN is enabled for this user).
  • Switch user - this will display a list of logged in users. Another logged in user can be selected (a PIN will be required, if enabled, but no password), or a new user can log in with their email and password.
  • Logout user - this will log the the user out, requiring their email and password to log back in.

Users can change their password and PIN on this screen.

ENABLING AUTO-LOCK

The Auto-lock feature allows your Mobile or Web App to lock automatically after a set duration, requiring a PIN to unlock it.

To enable auto-lock, please click:

  • Account
  • Security

Use the toggles to enable the Auto-lock and then enter the number of seconds of idle time before the app locks:
