Using your own mini-site domain

You can change your Ovatu minisite (book.app) domain a different domain, that you own.

This is an advanced feature that will require you to configure DNS settings with your domain registrar (e.g. GoDaddy, NameCheap, Crazy Domains).

Please note that we cannot provide specific technical support for individual domain registrar setups, as each provider has different interfaces and processes.

If you need help with DNS configuration, contact your domain registrar's support team or your IT support directly.

To use your own minisite domain, please go to:

  • Minisite
  • Advanced
  • Custom minisite domain
  • Click Set custom domain

  1. Enter your website domain, select the Confirm checkbox and Apply that change
  2. Details will then be displayed, including IP addresses which will need to be copied to the appropriate DNS records in your domain registration account
  3. Log into your domain registration account, locate the appropriate domain, and find the DNS records for that domain. These are generally labelled as DNS Manager, Manage DNS Records, or similar.
  4. Add or edit the appropriate DNS records, which can be copied from Ovatu (provided in step 3 above). There are two DNS records which need to be set. Both have the same domain and record type (A) but with different IP addresses.
  5. Save those changes
  6. Back in Ovatu on the Mini-site > Advanced page, check the status in the 'Custom minisite domain' section. If it says 'Waiting DNS', click the Check status button.

If everything has been set correctly, the status will switch to 'Active'. If not, double check that the domain entered in Ovatu is correct (no typos), and that the details in Ovatu have been correctly saved in your domain's DNS records.::c
